In the Season 3 premiere of her family’s Hulu show, “The Kardashians,” Kim Kardashian goes on about how she’s focused on protecting her children’s relationship with their father Kanye West, so that’s why she always talks positively about him in their presence and refused to comment publicly on his social media “shenanigans” last year. The “shenanigans” Kardashian apparently is referring to are the attacks West made against her as they were going through their divorce — accusing her of being unfaithful in their marriage and a bad mother because she once made a sex tape, according to Rolling Stone. The shapewear mogul also appears to be referring to the series of offensive, hateful remarks the rapper made in late 2022 about Jewish people, including when he proclaimed in an interview with Alex Jones: “I like Hitler.”But it seems that Kardashian is undercutting her claims of protecting their four children by op...Meth, ISO and cash seized in Santa Rosa drug trafficking bust

(KRON) -- U.S. Senator Dianne Feinstein (D-San Francisco) previously announced she would not seek reelection in 2024 but said she would finish out her term following an extended absence from the Senate due to health issues. But the majority of Californians don't even think she should finish out her term, according to a poll conducted by the University of California, Berkeley.Two-thirds of Californians believe Feinstein is unfit to serve on the Senate after returning to work following health issues just last week, according to the poll released Thursday. Many agree that she should resign immediately and allow Governor Gavin Newsom to appoint someone in her place. Sixty-seven percent of respondents blamed the senator's recent health issues, agreeing with the statement, "“Feinstein’s latest illness underlines the fact that she is no longer fit to continue serving in the U.S. Senate.”Democrats and Republicans alike agree that Newsom should appoint a successor for Feinstein, the poll sho...Mourinho says he’s a ‘better coach’ and a ‘better person’ than when he emerged

ROME (AP) — At age 60 and preparing to coach in his sixth European final, silver-haired Roma manager Jose Mourinho might prefer to call himself “the Sage One” now.Two decades after guiding Porto to the UEFA Cup for his first continental trophy, Mourinho considers himself a “better coach” and a “better person.”Mourinho, who famously referred to himself as a “Special One” when he was introduced as Chelsea manager in 2004, was asked Thursday what has changed for him since he emerged on the European stage.“Our job is not like a player’s job. You can be better and better with your experiences,” Mourinho said at Roma’s media day for the Europa League final. “As a player you need your body and your body of course does not respond the same way when you are 30 or you are 40.“As a coach I think your brain becomes sharper and the accumulation of knowledge is better with the years. I think you stop when you lose motivation, which is not the case — my motivation goes up every day. I have n...Kansas State pitchers combine for 2-hitter, eliminate Texas

Depends on who wins unusual battle of climatic titans

Two clashing climatic behemoths, one natural and one with human fingerprints, will square off this summer to determine how quiet or chaotic the Atlantic hurricane season will be.An El Nino is brewing and the natural weather event dramatically dampens hurricane activity. But at the same time record ocean heat is bubbling up in the Atlantic, partly stoked by human-caused climate change from the burning of coal, oil and gas, and it provides boosts of fuel for storms. Many forecasters aren’t sure which weather titan will prevail because the scenario hasn’t happened before on this scale. Most of them are expecting a near-draw — something about average. And that includes the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, saying there’s a 40% chance of a near-normal season, 30% chance of an above-average season (more storms than usual) and a 30% chance of a below-normal season. The federal agency Thursday announced its forecast of 12 to 17 named storms, five to nine becoming hurricanes and...West Virginia company drops bid to build logging pesticide facility amid fierce opposition

CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) — A West Virginia logging company hoping to build a toxic-spewing facility in the picturesque Allegheny Mountains has withdrawn an application for an air permit following vehement opposition from residents, regulators said Thursday. The state Department of Environmental Protection said it received a formal notice from Allegheny Wood Products. In a brief letter to the agency dated Wednesday, the company cited “a further review of our business needs” as the reason for the application’s withdrawal. The company wanted to construct a fumigation facility in the Hardy County community of Baker to treat logs before they are shipped overseas. The DEP’s Division of Air Quality had said it tentatively planned to issue the air permit that would let the facility emit up to nearly 10 tons of the pesticide methyl bromide into the atmosphere each year.Local residents have bombarded regulators with opposition to the facility, saying it would be a threat to their heal...KLM Open Scores

LONDON (AP) — When Peter Brown died alone in London without any known family, neighbors made sure that the humble 96-year-old Jamaican man who had volunteered as a teen to fight for Britain in World War II was not forgotten.Hundreds of people – mostly strangers — touched by his story answered the call Thursday, and packed St. Clement Danes Church to give the former flight sergeant a proper send-off.The Rev. Ruth Hake said that when Brown left his Jamaican home at 17 in 1943 there was no promise he’d return home — like millions of others who gave their lives in World War II. “The willingness that he showed then and the next seven years that he served in the Royal Air Force to put his life on the line on behalf of this nation … is a debt that all of us who who have certainly lived our lives in freedom in this country have to honor,” Hake said. “That is why there are so many people here at the funeral of such a modest and unassuming man.”Brown was one of about 5,500 m...Latest news
