DRIPPING SPRINGS, Texas (KXAN) — An outdoor entertainment center in Dripping Springs has reopened its doors to the public after a business model revamp earlier this year. Dreamland posted on its Instagram account over the weekend that it has reopened to the public and has a new team. This comes after an announcement earlier in the year that the center was revamping to a pickleball-centered business model. Previous story: Dreamland announces pickleball-centered business revamp Dreamland first opened in spring 2021 as an entertainment venue offering miniature golf, disc golf, pickleball and live music along with its kitchen and bar offerings. In January, company officials announced on Facebook it’d be pivoting to pickleball open court and private lessons for the time being. The center reopened to the public this week. It's hosting an event March 18 to "celebrate all the changes," the Instagram post said. Center Garrett Bradbury will be snapping the ball again to Kirk Cousins in 2023. But it remains to be seen how much longer after that the combination will remain intact for the Vikings.Minnesota on Tuesday agreed to re-sign Bradbury to a three-year, $15.75 million contract after he became a free agent. But while Cousins is under contract for 2023, the sides did not reach any deal on an extension behind then. So the Vikings have done a simple restructure of Cousins’ deal to create $16 million of cap room for this year. The Vikings took Cousins’ $20 million roster bonus, which was due Friday, and added two voidable years to his contract beyond the two already on his deal. So that $20 million was spread out over the maximum allowed five years, and Cousins’ cap number goes from $36.25 million to $20.25 million for 2023.It now appears that Cousins, 34, will be bound for free agency next March. So it remains to see if he still will be with the Vikings in 2024.Bradbury, ta...Loons will be without six key players next week versus Vancouver

Minnesota United’s depth will be tested next week. After the Loons (1-0-1) play Colorado Rapids (0-2-1) on Saturday night, MNUFC will have five starters and one key substitute leaving for duties with their respective national teams. They will miss the home match against Vancouver Whitecaps on March 25.The list: Dayne St. Clair (Canada), Robin Lod (Finland), Bongi Hlongawane (South Africa), Michael Boxall (New Zealand), Kervin Arriaga and Joseph Rosales (Honduras).“We might take that into consideration this weekend,” manager Adrian Heath said Tuesday. “It’s not ideal, but we will pick the team in Colorado with that in mind. Then we will work from there. What we can’t do is maybe risk one or two players who we know are going to be here for the following week.”That means that Heath possibly won’t start or put heavy minutes into players such as Hassani Dotson in Colorado, knowing Dotson will be a key midfield piece with Arriaga and Rosales away next week. The Loons have lacked healthy cen...MN Senate joins House in passing free school meals for all MN students

All Minnesota students will be eligible for free school meals, no matter their family income, under a bill that has passed both chambers of the Minnesota Legislature. The Senate on Tuesday approved the DFL-led legislation, which will cost the state roughly $200 million a year. House lawmakers approved similar language last month and will have to agree to the Senate’s version before sending it along to Gov. Tim Walz, who supports the effort.Sen. Heather Gustafson, DFL-Vadnais Heights, said the bill will ensure children from low-income families can eat at school, even if their parents don’t complete forms showing they’re eligible. And even families that can afford to pay for meals could “use the break,” she said, calculating the savings in her district at $1,872 a year a family with two students.“Look at it like a lunchbox tax cut; it gives money back to families,” she said. The Senate vote was 38-26 as Republicans Zach Duckworth, of Lakeville, Julia Coleman, of Waconia, and Jim A...Royce Lewis looking forward to coming back from injury even stronger

Royce Lewis is ready to play ball. The shortstop has spent most of the past two seasons watching his teammates from the bench — or worse, from afar — as he dedicates his time to strengthening and rehabbing his knee.Very few days have been spent actually playing baseball.“I’m just excited to play. I’ll probably smile when I fly out or strike out,” Lewis said. “I don’t really care. I’d rather strike out four times in a game than sit here and watch everyone hit. It’s so hard to sit there and be on the sidelines.”It’s been a long couple of years for one of the organization’s top prospects, starting when he tore his right anterior cruciate ligament for the first time in February 2021. After returning healthy and slicing through Triple-A pitching, he made a strong impression in the big leagues before retearing his ACL making a catch in center field last May.Months into his recovery, Lewis is eager to return, to show everyone what he can do.
